Creative Footprint
The report about Rotterdam’s nightlife commissioned by Stichting N8W8 R'dam presented at Katoenhuis
On September 25th, Stichting N8W8 R'dam presented their new research on Rotterdam’s nightlife at Katoenhuis Rotterdam. This event offered a unique opportunity to engage in dialogue with the sector, policymakers, politicians, and other stakeholders about Rotterdam's nightlife creative infrastructure and the possibilities for further strengthening it.
The Creative Footprint is an international research methodology that maps the impact of creative nightlife spaces and communities in cities worldwide. During this presentation, N8W8 and VibeLab will share the findings of the research in Rotterdam and discuss how we can collectively contribute to a vibrant, accessible, and sustainable nighttime sector.

The Creative Footprint Rotterdam is a research project by VibeLab and PennPraxis, commissioned by Stichting N8W8 R'dam.
N8W8 R'dam is Rotterdam's independent night council, founded by Thys Boer in 2019 following their Rise for the Night demonstration, held in response to the city's unexpected end to a new club development in March 2019. Since then, N8W8 R'dam has opened up the discussion of the role and position of nightlife in the Dutch city, working closely with VibeLab to develop the latest Creative Footprint report.
