CIIIC IX Labs Launch Event at Katoenhuis

On 18 November, Katoenhuis will host the official launch of the nationwide CIIIC IX Labs network, bringing together five regional labs dedicated to advancing immersive experiences (IX) in the Netherlands.
Supported by the National Growth Fund programme CIIIC (Creative Industries Immersive Impact Coalition), the network brings together five labs: BRIX (Brabant and North Holland), IX3 (Amsterdam), MIX (Hilversum), PRIME (Zeist) and SHINE (Rotterdam).
Each lab offers its own expertise and facilities, providing creative professionals, businesses, researchers, educational institutions and public organisations with access to advanced immersive technologies, including motion capture, virtual production, spatial audio, haptics and dome projection. By sharing infrastructure, knowledge and resources, the network makes these technologies more accessible to organisations that might otherwise lack the facilities or expertise to experiment with them.
Beyond providing technical facilities, the IX Labs will also support collaborative projects, knowledge exchange and experimentation across sectors such as healthcare, manufacturing, media, education and the built environment. Together, they aim to help organisations develop, test and apply immersive technologies in practice.
During the launch event at Katoenhuis, visitors will have the opportunity to meet the teams behind all five labs, discover their facilities and expertise, and explore how they can benefit from the network. The programme will feature presentations, a practical example of IX applications, a hackathon and opportunities to discuss potential collaborations.
