The World Came Flooding In is an immersive VR documentary reconstructing memories of the eastern Australia floods in 2022, which is representative of similar events that happened recently in various parts of the world. Artists Isobel Knowles and Van Sowerwine recover the disappearance of spaces, objects and voices, allowing viewers to interact through stunning sets. They transform loss into reflections on community and overcoming, with a call for action on the climate emergency as its backdrop.
